Medical Hypnosis

Medical Hypnotherapy has been shown to be effective in many areas, including patients undergoing surgery. Using this technique, patients experience less bleeding, less swelling, and overall recovery time is significantly decreased.

Major surgery is usually an anxiety producing event in anyone's life. Using Medical Hypnosis overall, pain resulting from surgery is minimized, or in some cases completely alleviated. Medical Hypnosis can dramtically reduce the overall "trauma" typically experienced.

How it works:

Surgery patients come in for 3 sessions of Medical Hypnosis prior to the surgery. The sessions are audio taped. The patient listens to the tapes in between and after the sessions, and in most cases during the surgery. Studies have shown that this sequence has produced the optimal results listed above.
